Obituary
Funeral services for Roy F. Turner, 92 of Lizella will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at McLeighton Funeral Services at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Turner passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at his residence.
He was a member of Lizella Church of Christ. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and enjoyed carpentry, farming, and beekeeping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jefferson Berry Turner and Gladys Simpson Turner.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Joyce Lemon Turner of Lizella; one son, Jeffrey Turner of Lizella; one daughter, Jennifer Carr (Michael) of Lancaster, TX; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 until 3:00 at the funeral home.
