Funeral services for Russell Harris, 93, of Musella will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Musella Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mr. Harris passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice.
He was a member of Rogers Church of Monroe County where he served as a deacon and trustee. He retired from W.F. Harris Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by John Robert Harris, Sr. and Lillian Lucille Ross Harris; John Robert Harris, Jr. and Clara Harris, Margaret and Billy Harris, William F. Harris, Eleanor Harris, Betty Harris, Patsy and Phil Andrews, Hinton J. Harris, Doris H. and Lamar Almgren, Joyce H. and Daniel Hortman and Richard and Jean McLeod.; and Allen Sneathen.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Harris; one son, Benjamin Harris (Nikki) of Musella; one daughter, Pandora Horton (Gary) of Gray; one brother, Charlie Frank Harris (Betty) of Musella; two sisters, Nancy Sneathen (Carl) of Atlanta and Ann Gillespie (Charlie) of Athens; sister-in-law, Allene Harris of Athens; three grandchildren, Broc Harris (Bailey) of Musella, Victoria Horton-Roark (Michael) of Macon and Rebekah Horton of Gray; two great-grandchildren, Emig Harris of Musella and Ezra Harris of Musella; step-daughter, Cheryl Sapp and her children Jessica, Sapp, Jennifer Sapp, Matthew Sapp and Stacy Califf, niece, Kathy Ivey (Mike); nephews, Kelly Ivey, and Scott Ivey (Laticia) and their children, Allie and Lucas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
