Sharon Lynn Stephens, 79, of Butler, GA passed away at home July 09, 2023.
Sharon was born May 21st, 1944 in a little house on the banks of the Kickapoo River in Readstown, WI to Douglas and Mary (Stone) Chroninger. She was a lifelong creator, tinkerer, artist, and friend. She loved her family fiercely and her friends like family. She had an eye for a
bargain that she honed while working flea markets for several decades. She loved fancy clothes, dressing up, and going out on the town when she could. She was a resilient fighter and, despite health problems, always retained her optimism and faith. Sharon was a beloved mother, gramma, and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Penney (Rick) Harris, of Webster, FL, and their children, Sheena Harris (Chad), Kelly (Sam) Thigpen, and Austin (Emily) Harris; her son Paul Stephens of Bloom City, WI and his son Nathan Stephens; her son Jacob Stephens of Prairie du Chien, WI and his daughter Teya Stephens; her step-daughter Karen (Jeffery) Jackson, and their children Jercorey, Kewin, and Jaylen Jackson; her step-daughter Lakita Morrow and her children Shaneizah,
Erionna, Dionanna, and Joshua Seldon; her step-daughter Akia Durham and her child Italy Durham; her sister Louise (Robert) Whittingham; her grandchildren June Lawson and Chad (Linda) Peacock; her great grandchildren Cayden, Maddox, Kenadee, Olivia, Ray, River, Liberty, and Robert; as well as her friend and caretaker, Chip Smith, and dearest friend/caretaker/daughter-from-another-mother, Sissy Spillers, and her beloved sidekick and friend, Audrey.
She was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters; her first husband Earl Stephens, and second husband, Wonza Morrow; her son Steven Stephens; her granddaughter Leigha Beth Stephens, and her beloved dog, Chopper.
There will be a private gathering of friends and family sometime this week at her home in Butler.
