Shelia G. Hood, 69, of Knoxville passed away on Friday, October 12, 2024, at her residence. She was a member of Roberta United Methodist Church and was employed with Taylor County Health and Rehab for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Norman Gooch and Bonnie Baggett Gooch and her husband, Joe Hood.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Chastain (Joe) of Jones County; one sister, Lelia Deloach of Montezuma; four grandchildren, Anthony Pitts, Nathan Pitts, Michael Maddox, and Wesley Chastain (Logan); two great-grandchildren, Kaden Chastain and Scarlett Chastain.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
