Graveside services for Shirley Gordon Jackson, 83, of Roberta will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 11:00 am at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ft. Valley.  Mrs. Jackson passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. Gordon and Ina Jo Ingle Gordon; her husband, Homer B. Jackson, Jr. who was the love of her life to this day; a sister, Eva Bone; and a granddaughter, April Marie Jackson.

She was a 1959 graduate of Reynolds High School.

Survivors include her son, John Jackson (Tammy) of Ohatchee, AL; one sister, Alvina Robinson of Reynolds; two grandchildren, Dana Michelle Caypless (Kevin) of Opelika, AL and Christopher Jackson (Sydney) of Perry; four great-grandchildren, Kinslee Skye Jackson, Sutton Klaire Jackson, Waytt Jackson Caypless and Anna Grace Caypless; special caregivers, Gwen Childree (Tommy) of Reynolds and Rhonda Rozier (Eric) of Reynolds; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Friends may visit the family after the graveside service at Mrs. Jackson's residence.
