Travis Reid Atkinson, 57, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Musella Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery.

Travis was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family. He was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church. He was employed with Blue Bird Body Company for many years and, through his work and travels, visited 96 countries. He later served as a magnetic engineer and president of SemahTronix in Flippin, Arkansas. Outside of his work, he specialized in customizing and designing automotive stereo systems.  He enjoyed spending time fishing and golfing, hobbies that brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Perry Atkinson and Patsy Touchton Atkinson, and a daughter, Baby Atkinson.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Leigh Anne Atkinson of Panama City Beach, Florida; one son, Luke Atkinson of Panama City Beach, Florida; one daughter, Taylor Atkinson of Los Angeles, California; several nephews and one niece.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one’s choice.
