Funeral service for Wendy Susan Cotney,48, will be held on February 24, 2024, at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Butler. Burial will follow at Butler Memorial Cemetery. Wendy passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was the daughter of Earlene Reeves of Slocomb AL and the late Andrew Huston Cotney.

Wendy was a registered nurse and was a traveling nurse for many years. She was past Director of Health Education Programs at Big Bend Community College, Moses Lake, Washington.

She possessed a loving spirit, sweet nature, positive attitude and enjoyed seeing her students excel.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Earlene and McArthur Reeves, Slocomb, Al; one daughter, Alexis Farr of Sidney, Ohio; one stepson, CJ Farr of Virginia; special friend, Jamie Barrow of Butler; one uncle, Walt Turner of Reynolds; two aunts, Sue Turner of Thomaston and Edna Turner of Ft. Valley

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Memorial Cemetery Fund, PO Box 584, Butler, GA 31006.
