Graveside services for William “Billy” Edward Lawhorn, 73 of Butler will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Sand Bethel Church Cemetery.

Mr. Lawhorn passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Navicent Health Medical Center.

He was a member of Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Billy loved his family dearly, whether you knew him as husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle or friend he was loved and respected by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Helen Lawhorn; brother, Ralph Lawhorn; sons, Carl and Mike Walker and Troy Taunton.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Katie Lawhorn of Butler; children, Lisa Taunton of Butler, Brian Lawhorn (Julie) of Butler and Kelly Welch (Kenny) of Butler; daughter-in-law, Dana Taunton of Shiloh; siblings, Prissy Harris (Dwight), Bobby Lawhorn (Sue), Sue Lawhorn, Maxine Allen (Richard), Johnny Lawhorn (Betty Jean), Randy Lawhorn (Terry) and Frankie Lawhorn (Renee); fifteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
