William "Billy" Mullins

Graveside services for William “Billy” E. Mullins, 79, of Butler will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2023, at 4:00 pm at High Shoals Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 227 Parker- Branch Road, Barnesville. Billy passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at County Gardens Assisted Living.  He was retired from Clayton County Public Works. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler.  He enjoyed reading his bible, fishing, all sports, including Nascar, Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves.  To know him was to love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin L. Mullins and Irma Chandler Mullins; a brother, Emory Calvin Mullins; and his wife, Leila Sams Mullins.

Survivors include two daughters, Betsy Byrd (Frank) of Milledgeville and Jayne Whiten (Mike) of Milledgeville; several cousins including, Tim Mullins of Butler, Brenda Townsend of Thomaston and Howard Mullins of Griffin; five grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter also survive.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund at Country Gardens Assisted Living, PO Box 2023, Butler, GA  31006.
